How do I become a member? You can purchase your membership online, call us at 208-343-9895, or apply in person at 131 Myrtle Street in downtown Boise.

Can I purchase a gift membership for someone else? Yes! Way to give the gift of lifelong learning. Simply purchase a gift membership online, or call us at 208-343-9895. Gift memberships are also available at the front desk.
What is a length of a membership term? Memberships are good for 1 full calendar year from the date of purchase. If you're renewing , please be assured that your new membership year will be activated when your current membership expires. There is never a penalty for renewing early.
What is considered a "family" for family membership levels? "Family" is defined as 2 adults and their children (under 18 years of age) residing in the same household.
When will I receive my membership card? A physical membership card can be purchased for an additional $2. If a card is lost or stolen we will reprint cards for a $2 fee. Please allow 1-2 weeks processing time.
Do I need my card to visit the Discovery Center? No, with a photo ID we can quickly and easily search your personal information in our system.
Can I give my membership card to others to use? Discovery Center memberships and member benefits are not transferable to other individuals or organizations. Cards may not be passed to friends, relatives or extended family for admission.
Can I bring guests on my membership when I visit the Center? Regular Discovery Center admission must be paid for guests.
Can my nanny or babysitter be admitted on my membership? An Add-On Member can be added to any membership for $20, perfect for a nanny, cousin or other individual (max. one per membership).
What other museums honor my Discovery Center membership? Complete Memberships include ASTC travelling benefits – free or reduced admission to 350+ science centers/museums worldwide! There are two restrictions to this rule: one, the museum must be at least 90 miles AWAY from the Discovery Center's address. Two, the museum must be at least 90 miles AWAY from your home address. Please check the ASTC Passport Program list of participating science centers and museums before you visit as museums opt in and out of ASTC membership annually. It's also a good idea to call the museum or science center you're planning on attending in advance, as some museums have blackout dates and restrictions.
Is my membership refundable? Memberships are not refundable.

How can I replace my lost membership card? Replacement cards are $2 and can be purchased here at our front desk or over the phone at 208-343-9895. Please allow 1-2 weeks for processing.
How can I change names on my membership? The names listed on a membership may be changed at the front desk or over the phone at 208-343-9895. There is a $5 fee for name changes.
How can I change my address for my membership? To continue to receive all of your membership benefits, change your address with our Membership Office at 208-343-9895 or email us at email@example.com.
How do I hear about upcoming events and updates? The best way to stay in the loop is to subscribe to our emails and like us on Facebook. We don't share your email, and our updates are sent periodically depending on what's going on. You can also check out our Event Calendar online.
