STEM Multisport Camp
2nd grade – 6th grade (ages 7-12)
In partnership with Skyhawks Sports Academy, Discovery Center of Idaho is excited to offer this brand new camp exploring STEM in sports! Campers will get to try out new or different sports while building skills in critical thinking, collaboration, creative problem solving. Each day explores STEM topics connected to sports and campers spend most of their time outdoors enjoying nature and active play.
Cost: $250 flat rate
Space Cadets
2nd grade – 6th grade (ages 7-12)
Enjoy a week as an astronaut, planning your mission to space! Campers will learn about nebulae, star formation, rocket propulsion and how they can use their problem solving skills to plan a mission to a far away planet.
Cost: $200 members / $250 non-members
Pop Culture STEAM Camp
2nd grade – 6th grade (ages 7-12)
Comic fans will put their superpowers to the test at this camp, where the STEAM world collides in a culmination of comic art, science fiction and the creation of iconic 3-D figures aligned with daily superhero themes. Campers can unleash their creativity as they integrate art into the world of science!
Cost: $200 members / $250 non-members
Young Discoverers
Kindergarten – 2nd grade (ages 5-7)
Young Discoverers Camp offers a safe and gentle environment for our younger campers to explore and discover the world around them! This 3-hour camp includes daily story time, facilitated access to our Young Learners gallery and hands-on STEAM activities that inspire imagination and make learning fun!
Cost: $200 members / $250 non-members
Park Explorers
2nd grade – 6th grade (ages 7-12)
Explore Julia Davis Park! Visit a different cultural institution each day. Partners include: Boise Art Museum, Zoo Boise, Idaho State Museum, and the Discovery Center of Idaho. A detailed schedule will be provided. Participants will begin and end each day at the Idaho State Museum. Registration deadline is July 30, 2023.
Cost: $450 non-members / $420 members of Discovery Center of Idaho, Idaho State History Museum, Boise Art Museum or Zoo Boise.
Jedi Training Camp

Discover the force within you as you train to become a Jedi! Campers will face physical challenges such as obstacle courses, use the power of their minds to solve an escape room, create their own droid, and explore science that is out of this world!

The Discovery Center of Idaho and the Idaho Botanical Garden are excited to partner and provide a week of whole day programming full of hands-on, magical fun! Learners will start their day at the Botanical Garden focusing on plant identification and herbology, conducting exciting experiments and playing quidditch. Camp will end each day at the Discovery Center of Idaho with time dedicated to concocting potions, practicing transfigurations and beginner dragonology. This is a great opportunity to provide the well-rounded magical education all young wizards require! Is it science or is it magic?! Only those who attend will know!
Cost: $450 flat rate

For the curious, vibrant camper who loves hands-on learning, this camp highlights the intersection of the arts and sciences. Experiment with art techniques such as suminagashi, observational drawing, and the creation of camouflage, explore the colors of nature to create artwork and even tie dye, and see how colors can change using chemical reactions and different types of light!
