The Discovery Center is wheelchair and scooter accessible, with features throughout the building to help make your visit easier.

During Sensory-Friendly Learning Hours, adjustments are made to create a less stimulating environment for visitors who may become overwhelmed by the sights, sounds and activity of the everyday Discovery Center experience.
View Sensory ResourcesOur Sensory Guide helps you know what to expect throughout the Center before you arrive. It identifies areas with different levels and types of sensory input, including auditory, visual and tactile stimuli.
Sensory Kits are available at the front desk on a first-come, first-served basis. Kits include noise-reducing headphones, sunglasses and fidget toys to support visitors during their time at the Center.
Service animals are welcome throughout the Discovery Center. In accordance with ADA requirements, service animals must remain under the control of their handler at all times and must be harnessed, leashed or tethered unless those devices interfere with the animal's work or the visitor's disability prevents their use.
Professional aides accompanying a visitor with a disability receive free admission. One aide may receive complimentary admission per visitor. Aide admission can be redeemed when you arrive at the Discovery Center.
French and Spanish translations are available for several of our in-house exhibitions in both written and audio formats. Translations are provided in partnership with the Boise State University Department of World Languages. View Exhibit Translations
