Details

Our volunteer opportunities are two hours long each and range from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. The tasks will consist of standing for the two hours and providing guidance, knowledge, and support to the community as they enjoy the center. Volunteering provides the opportunity for an individual to rapidly increase their knowledge in a variety of topics while influencing the community around them.

Types of Volunteer Opportunities

Education & Community Engagement

Educational & Community Engagement programming opportunities include, but are not limited to: Gallery floor interaction, School-break Camps, Representing the Discovery Center at community events and more.

Requirements:

  • 15 years or older
  • Reliable form of transportation
  • Pass background check

Event Support

Additional events with the Discovery Center include, but are not limited to: Adult nights, Member Mondays, Science with Style Gala, Private Events, and more.

Hours: Based on event

  • 18 years or older
  • Reliable form of transportation
  • Pass background check

We host a variety of events here at the Discovery Center of Idaho: Young Discoverers, Adult Nights, and friendly challenges among members and frequent visitors. No matter the age or activity, we have a lot of fun and are certain we have something on our calendar sure to entertain and create lasting memories.
